Michael Walters, the official Dame Edna Impersonator will do a special tribute show with all the glitz, glitter and glamour popularized by Dame Edna ( Barry Humphries). November 23, Saturday - Asheville Holiday Parade - Come out and support LGBTQ entries in the annual Holiday Parade.  Place: Downtown Asheville,  Route: The parade travels up Biltmore Avenue from Charlotte Street towards Pack Square. Pack Square is the only performance area, the location for WLOS TV cameras and judges. The parade then turns left on Patton Avenue and ends on French Broad Street.  Time: Begins at 11:00 AM.   Considered one of the biggest and best parades to attend for small cities. 

November 23, Saturday – LFR’s “The Red Ball” an evening of fun, food and entertainment benefiting Loving Food Resources hosted by O.Henry’s. Attendees are asked to wear red but not required. Place: O.Henry’s on Haywood Rd. Time: 9 PM – on. Auction at 10 and drag show at midnight. Cover is $10 or 10 cans of food.  

November 23, Saturday – Queer Prom..An evening of dancing as they celebrate a special “Girls Queer Prom” benefiting Girls Rock Asheville’s camp scholarship fund. Place: Sly Grog Lounge 271 Haywood Street Asheville. Time: 8PM-2 AM. Admission sliding scale $5-$20, no one turned away from door.

November 23, Saturday – Tranzmission Community Pot Luck. Come out bring a dish, a side, a dessert, some drinks (non-alcoholic, please), or just your wonderful self. December 13, LFR Annual Cookie Party - Kenilworth Center 4 Chiles Avenue, behind Kenilworth Presbyterian Church. Time: 6-8 PM. You are invited to bake them, buy them and bring 4 dozen cookies to put in special holiday boxes for clients. This annual event is a much anticipated one and helps bring joy to both those who donate and help fill the boxes and the clients who receive them.
