Kicking off Blue Ridge Pride Week celebrations will be a special queercore event sponsored by GayAshevilleNc.

Here is your chance to celebrate PRIDE your way, with 
music and entertainment "with you in mind." Live bands
including: •Then Came Dragons Brief Awakening  •Crooked Ghost  will perform from 9 pm to 1 am.  Everyone is invited to come early and stay late to the DJ retro music of the 90's.  See QUEERFEST for sampling of music and band information.
Dress in your best PRIDE attire for Prizes.  Special give-a-way gifts will also be passed out to the first attendees beginning at 8:30 pm.

Frostbite Ice Cream Social Fundraiser

Celebrate PRIDE with a sweet treat and help sweeten the pot for the Blue Ridge Pride Festival at the same time.   Frostbite Ice Cream will be donating a percentage of their sales all day to help BRP and the Festival.   You can stop by either location from 12 noon to 10 pm.

A great evening of LGBT comedy is in store for you
from both local and out of town comedians.
Kevin Delgado, Mimi J Benfield, Lauren Faber and
Local comic, Ian Howell; hosted by Jeff Messer and Jason Scholder.
 In our crazy world of everyday events and inequality, it is so good to take a couple of hours out and have a good laugh.  This special PRIDE event will do just that as we celebrate Blue Ridge PRIDE Week. Admission is open seating with Tickets $16

Blue Ridge Pride Women's Beer Release Party 
Benefiting the Women’s Veterans 
Home of Hendersonville

It's time for all you gals to celebrate PRIDE with another great
BRP named Beer from Bhramari.  They create a special beer each year just for us and all the proceeds from sales are donated to a special women's fund.  This year the beneficiary is Women's Veterans Home of Hendersonville.  
While this event is geared towards our Women in the community, the men are definitely invited to show their support and enjoy a fabulous brew.

Miss Blue Ridge Pride Pageant
the annual crowning of Miss BRP to serve as 2018 ambassador for PRIDE.

Time: 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM

The doors open at 5:00 PM for the annual Miss Blue Ridge Pride Pageant with a Meet & Greet (additional charge) cocktail hour, and 
Opening Ceremonies beginning at 7:00 PM.  This year it is a different venue offering seating both floor level and balcony. Don't worry alcohol will be available so you can sip on your cocktails while being entertained.

Contestants are coming in from all over the area to compete. The evening is always a "don't miss event"
so include it on your list of PRIDE WEEK activities. 
Tickets are advance: $12 for floor and $8 for balcony seats. At the door: $15 for floor and $10 for balcony

LGBTQ Movie in the Park
this is a first for PRIDE, an outdoor
movie, like the old days. 
Time: 6:00 - 10:30 PM

Come out, bring a chair or blanket and join hundreds of others as we watch an all time favorite comedy. Popcorn and goodies will be available to enjoy during the movie. 
Enjoy a very funny movie based on the french version  La Cage aux Folles with Robin Williams, The Bird Cage.

Asheville's "Gay Pride" better known as Blue Ridge Pride is an all inclusive gathering of community and allies with a special emphasis on the theme Community Growing
Together. Held rain or shine in front of the Buncombe County Courthouse and iconic
Asheville City Building and stretching up to the Vance Monument at the heart of Pack Square,this annual event has been reported by CNN as "one of the top 10 Pride's in the world not to miss."

Here is the perfect way to wind down 8 days of Pride, with one of O.Henry's famous Pot Luck Dinners, this time celebrating PRIDE.
Everyone is invited to come, bring your favorite dish to share and enjoy the food and some great Gospel Drag at 7:00 pm.  
The evening will continue with DJ music in the Underground and lots of fun and games in the main bar area.
